About Stephen S. Kalat, Ph.D.
Stephen S. Kalat, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over forty years experience in the Denver area. A graduate of The American University, Washington, D.C., 1977, Dr. Kalat completed his Clinical Psychology Internship at Denver General Hospital (currently Denver Health Medical Center) in 1978. Dr. Kalat received training in Neuropsychology through continuing education programs of the University of Denver, National Academy of Neuropsychology, American College of Professional Neuropsychology, Reitan Neuropsychological Laboratory, American Psychological Association, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed two years of post-doctoral supervision in Clinical Neuropsychology. He has practiced Neuropsychology since 1993. 

Dr. Kalat has served as President of the Colorado Neuropsychological Society; on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado; as Director of Psychology for two Denver-area hospitals; as Chairman of the Professional Advisory Board of the Graduate School of Professional Psychology of the University of Denver; as Chairman of the Professional Practice Committee of the Colorado Psychological Association, and as Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee of the Colorado Neuropsychological Society. While in graduate school, Dr. Kalat helped organize mental health services at the Washington Free Clinic in Washington, D.C. and served as the Vice President of the Washington Free Clinic's Board of Directors. He was given an award by the Colorado Psychological Association for Distinguished Service to Psychology in 1993. He was awarded status as a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology in 2015. He received an award from the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology for Distinguished Clinical Practice and Contributions to Neuropsychology in October 2022.
